Minion Remix
thingiverse
This is the rewritten version of the dual extruder file. I don't own a dual extruder printer, so splitting everything out requires effort from me. It's plenty of work to print each part individually, but I'm convinced that the result is worth the effort. Instructions Some parts in the file are not properly aligned on the printer table since I simply exported it directly from CAD. Align them before you start printing. Refer to my printed minion picture for a clearer understanding of what needs to be done. Most parts can be printed without supports, except the body, which will need some support for the hands. The most difficult part is the hair because they are extremely small and there are 12 of them that need to be aligned flat in order. Good luck with printing and assembling the minion! UPDATE (27 Dec 2014) For users who utilize CURA for slicing, please make sure to enable Fix Horrible Type B in your Expert Settings while printing the BODY.stl file. This is due to a specific problem in that part where overlapping mesh creates issues, and this setting will help fix them together properly. Failing to do so may result in an unwanted hole at the side of the minion's body during print time.
