Mistborn Allomancy symbols for Combination Safe

There's always another secret. So this came about because I noticed there is a lack of anything Mistborn related here on thingiverse.com, plus I found this Combination Safe by SavageRodent. Several hours of work later and I had created 4 different rings filled with Allomantic Symbols that are compatible with SavageRodent's safe. NOTE: For the rest of the files needed to build this Combination Safe please go to SavageRodent's original Thing. The only files hosted here are the rings with the Allomantic Symbols, intended to be used in place of SavageRodent's "Outer Ring" file. Also, I scaled these to be the same size as SavageRodent's Cryptex's parts, but I recommend printing everything a little bigger, especially with the fine detail of some of the Allomancy symbols. I printed mine at 125% scale, and that worked great. About these symbols The Mistborn Novels If you're not familiar with Mistborn, it is a series of Fantasy novels written by author Brandon Sanderson. I highly recommend that you check them out. Brandon Sanderson is known for writing fantasy novels that are very different from most Fantasy we're familiar with (i.e.: you won't find elves or dragons or wizards in his books). His worlds, characters, and magic systems are all very unique and engaging. From his website, about the Mistborn books: "Mistborn. A thousand years ago, the prophesied hero from lore rose up to overthrow a great and terrible evil. Only, he lost, and the Dark Lord took over and has been ruling with an iron fist for a thousand years. Ash falls from the sky in this barren land, and mists come every night, deep and mysterious. In this setting, a gang of thieves decides that the prophecies were all lies and that they can’t trust in some fabled hero to save them. The Allomantic Symbols These symbols come from the Steel Alphabet- the writing system used in the Mistborn world. Every symbol in the Steel Alphabet corresponds to a Letter, a Number, and/or one of the metals used in the world's magic system, Allomancy. I have included a primer on how to read/write in the Steel Alphabet in the links. More and up-to-date information about the Steel Alphabet can be found here. The Rings So I made 4 different rings, to accomodate a variety of the different symbols in the Steel Alphabet. Each symbol is featured at least once, and all the common symbols are featured more than once. Print out the rings you want and mix and match them to your hearts content. Ring 1: Numbers This ring contains the symbols used for numbers 0-9. The symbols on this ring are as follows: Metal - Numeric Value - Letter/Sound Unknown - 0 - none Iron - 1 - B Steel - 2 - P Tin - 3 - E/I Pewter - 4 - O/U Zinc - 5 - L Brass - 6 - R Copper - 7 - D Bronze - 8 - T Cadmium - 9 - G Ring 2: Basic Metals This Ring contains the symbols for the metals commonly known during the Final Empire (Mistborn book 1). The symbols on this ring are as follows: Metal - Numeric Value - Letter/Sound Iron - 1 - B Steel - 2 - P Tin - 3 - E/I Pewter - 4 - O/U Zinc - 5 - L Brass - 6 - R Copper - 7 - D Bronze - 8 - T Atium - unknown - V Gold - 11 - M Ring 3: Other Metals This ring contains the symbols for the rest of the known metals. The symbols on this ring are as follows: Metal - Numeric Value - Letter/Sound Chromium - 13 - W Nicrosil - 14 - Y Aluminum - 15 - Z? Duralumin - 16 - S Cadmium - 9 - G Bendalloy - 10 - K Gold - 11 - M Electrum - 12 - N Lerasium - unknown - A Malatium - unknown - F Ring 4: Misc Symbols This Ring contains symbols which have an alphabetic or numeric value, but don't have any known metals associated with them, as well as a few repeated symbols for common letters/sounds.
