(ES|EN) Estatua del dios romano Mitra datada entre los siglos II y III dC y actualmente expuesta en el Museo Archeologico Nazionale Tarquiniense. Esta deidad de origen persa fue importada al mundo romano en el siglo I dC, incorporándose más tarde y de manera oficial al panteón romano. Mitra es representado como un joven con gorro frigio sacrificando a un toro y, aunque en este caso la escultura está incompleta, no es una excepción. This Persian goddess was imported into the Roman Empire in the 1st Century AD and later added to the Roman pantheon. Mithra is usually depicted as a young man who wearing a Phrygian cap and killing a bull. Although this sculpture is incomplete, it is not an exception.
