Mitutoyo Caliper Depth Gauge Stand

Mitutoyo Caliper Depth Gauge Stand

I couldn't find a stand for my Mitutoyo calipers so I decided to design my own. It uses 2 M4 screws and nuts to hold the Caliper in place but since I didn't want to ruin the sides of my calipers, I drilled a 2mm hold into the center of the screws about 5 mm deep, inserted a piece of PLA filament with a bit of it protruding out of the drilled hole so that I can heat it up until it melted and pressed down on it with a flat surface so that when the screws tighten down on the calipers, the plastic will not harm the smooth finish. The fight my bit a bit tight, but if you work the calipers up and down a dozen of times, it should loosen up a bit but still provide a nice, solid fit. Print with the bottom of the stand facing downwards on a smooth sheet so that you get the flattest possible surface to get better depth readings.
