MJX Bugs 2 Extended Battery Door

MJX Bugs 2 Extended Battery Door

thingiverse

This is an extended battery door for the MJX Bugs 2W quadcopter, to replace the original combined battery/door combination. This door fits in the standard place and closes with the standard locking mechanism, allowing any battery that fits in the battery bay to be used with the quad and be secured during flight. This door also extends out further than the standard door allowing longer batteries to be used for extended flight time. Drawn in Solidworks 2012, I've included the sldprt file so you can modify as required, and extend it further if you need. I printed in ABS @ 0.2mm layer height with 0.4mm nozzel and it was a nice snug fit. I mounted an external 5G Wifi antenna to the door to improve FPV which needed the quad to be lifted, so I also printed these landing feet extensions for some added height. They go in place of the rubber dampeners on the standard feet (you need to screw them in), and the rubber dampeners attach to the end of the extension so the dampening is maintained.
