Mould to make your own silicone insulator for mk10 hotends with heat blocks measuring 19x19x12.5 mm (Wanhao i3 etc.) I was seeing a temperature drop of my hotend when the cooling fan was on maximum. Using this silicone insulator has completely solved the problem. It also helps the hotend heat up faster and maintain its temperature. You will need: Curing liquid silicone rubber ~ 15 g 4 m3 nuts and bolts if using the 2 part mould base Vaseline for mould release if using 1 part mould base You can use the 2 part or 1 part mould base. If you use the 1 part be sure to apply a thin layer of vaseline or other mould release to help demoulding. I'd recommend applying vaseline to the insert too. Enjoy!
