MK2 Toyota Supra - Sun Visor

Hi everybody! I designed this sun visor for my 1983 Toyota Celica Supra. Anybody else with a '81-'85 Toyota Celica/Supra might be interested. It would be a good way to replace a worn or broken OEM visor so I thought I'd share. The large bore holders have a 7.93 mm bore and the small bore holders a 7.75 mm bore. That's the only difference between the two sets of files. A 7.75 mm bore WILL need to be worked further after production to get the original OEM visor bar to fit. This friction fit is the hardest part of the project, since it determines the ease of which the visor will move when in use. The main flat section of the visor is just a 2D model that I made in AutoCAD. You can upload that file (.DXF) to a place like SendCutSend to get that made. I made mine with 3mm thick carbon fiber. I'd made the 2 holder pieces of 3d printed aluminum, as well as the bar piece. But you could make these out of whatever you like. Just remember that friction fit will be affected by material choice. I had made an initial prototype out of plastic and it was too loose of a fit. Lastly, the hardware. All hardware is M6. I used the following: - 6x M6 X 17mm bolts - 4x M6 X 12mm bolts - 10x M6 nuts And that's all you should need. I'd be interest to see anybody else make these, so feel free to tell me if you do!
