I've made some changes to that thing on Thingiverse. Now, the fan hole is adjusted to fit M3 screws, which means you won't need any nuts. I've also added a second mounting hole for extra stability. The heatsink part was shortened to fit perfectly and blend in. This design works well with a 40mm fan.
