MK7 StepStruder Mounting Foot

MK7 StepStruder Mounting Foot

thingiverse

A better mounting foot than the rather poorly conceived mounting scheme that MakerBot ships with their MK7 kit. It cuts the number of things that need to be aligned at once from four to two. I am anticipating removing the MK7 a bit, as I plan to build my own second extruder. Instructions Print two feet. Remove the MK7. Press the nuts into the hex holes. Press the feet onto the MK7 mounting plates. Enjoy the much easier way to remove and attach your MK7 as you go from one to two extruders, or mod it so you can change filaments easier. See the photos for any more details. I designed this in Alibre and have included the source file, but this is such a special purpose part I don't see much room for modifications.
