This part helps to direct an airflow from the MK8 extruder fan to the hotend heat sink, but not to the heater. Heat sink disks: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/5pcs-Aluminium-heat-sink-thread-M6-cooling-Radiator-pipe-diameter-30mm-for-E3D-3D-printer-parts/32865054017.html I used a PETG for the final print, but PLA is ok also - as the fan is always on when the printer is working, cooling parts never get hot.
