I'm designing an initial prototype for a spool holder hub that will store idle MMU spools. The spring-based design I tried previously causes excessive backlash when printing on my MK3 and other printers. My plan is to create a stationary hub, allowing the spool to unwind naturally as it's pulled by the printer's extruder, just like a regular spool.
