Similar to the MBlades concept: http://www.mblades.com/ This is a modification package for the Rawlings Synthetic Longsword Waster for HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts). The purpose of this modification is to create an ultra portable tool that can simulate the use of a full size sword for the purposes of solo practice. Print Settings Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .2mm Infill: 20% minimum. Notes: Some pieces need supports to print properly, I highly suggest rafts to prevent warping or the longer pieces. Post-Printing Make sure to print 2 of the weight sections and the grip section. Additional supplies You'll need: 1 x M8 1.25 threaded rod (1 meter length can be cut to size with hack saw) 5 x M8 1.25 nuts 4 x M8 1.25 40mm bolds 8 x M8 washers 2 x Metal plates to act as counter weight, I used 2" wide x .25" steel bar which I cut to size and drilled holes. A Rawlings synthetics metal pommel, metal crossguard, and the rubber grip. (http://www.woodenswords.com/category_s/1837.htm) Glue pieces together and attach counter weights. Assemble the hilt.
