This is a spacer set to allow an IR lens to be placed inside of a 7x zoom lens without having to glue it in place. a spacer is placed on either side of a spring, which holds the IR lens in place. I used a spring (clipped in half) from a bag of springs purchased at microcenter. Make sure that the taller spacer (rear spacer) is placed with the wider section towards the front to brace the spring. The narrow area presses against the camera board, and it is important that nothing is touching (or pressing on) the chip's lens.
