Model M membrane cable clamps

Model M membrane cable clamps

I replaced membrane connectors with pin headers in my Model M recently, suspecting that they're probably the cause of my problem with intermittently working key columns. I was wrong though, as membrane on my keyboard seemingly developed a micro-crack somewhere near the part that connects it to the board, but atleast now I have one thing less to worry about. As for the crack, I was able to fix the membrane in such a way that all the connections are working - you may find this thing useful for that. Cover part of each clamp requires some kind of rubber pad glued inside. I've used some splices of polyurethane rubber band. Also, the space between connectors is somewhat tight, so I had to cut off a part of ear on the shorter clamp so I could fit them in. Plastic pieces are quite flexible and warp slightly when tightened together, so it may be desirable to put it all together with extra metal plate.
