This is an attempt to improve the performance of Michal Fanta's "Filament buffer for Original Prusa i3 Multi Material upgrade". The original design is available at: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-filament-buffer-for-original-prusa-i3-multi-material-upgrade-85794 I have been using this as a filament buffer for a year or so, but in my situation it kept having a recurring bug, where the ejecting filament would push straight through the buffer without buckling, and would then get tangled around the spool as if the buffer wasn't there. I was also using a modded version that allowed for quick connect PTFE fittings, which may have contributed. This model is designed to be a "buffer bump" that forces the filament over a round arc inside the buffer. Because of this arc, when the filament is ejected by the MMU2S, it will buckle reliably and the loop will remain in the buffer. There are room for improvements in this design. It works reliably once the buffer and all filaments are loaded, but getting all the filaments and bumps loaded and between the separating panels is very finicky. It also requires that the buffer be mounted in the photographed orientation so that gravity holds the bumps down, not helpful if yours is mounted differently.
