Kirby Vaccum Bags Filter down to .3 micron and and are electrostatically charged in the same way the N95 Masks are, and the Kirby Hepa bags filter to .1 Micron. I’ve just added a LOT my own modifications based on my user experience and Materials i had (Para-Cord, Weatherstrip). So Thanks to these three for allowing us to print these masks in time of need. UPDATE! Turns out the original was designed to be printed without supports. so no supports! Two Mask Types. Type A and B. The small Filter can be used on both masks and be mounted from the inside and out, TYPE A - Type A was design with a lip around to be able to Wrap a rubber band around to give you an extra layer of filter, or to use if you have no filters and you need something quick. TYPE B- Type B was design to be able to quickly remove the filter cap swap out the used filter and replace on the fly without having to remove your mask. I designed this For My Aunt Who is working the front lines in New York. I modified this by making a diamond filter punch rather than a square so its easier to breath out of the nose. i also added a flange around the filter housing so you can use a rubber band or hair tie to add a second layer of protection. I am making no medical claims and these should only be use in a pinch but they are pretty airtight once you mold them if using Para-Cord, cut two pieces; Top @ 42 inches, and Bottom @38 inches each and use a necklace knot. If you use EPDM rubber Weatherstripping for gaskets You should not have to mold unless you have a long skinny face (tested with my roommate and I haha. I reccomend 5/16" x 23/64". that's what i used on mine and it works well. Cut the weatherStripping to 14-1/4".
