Modified Top Deck for Quanum 180 Quadcopter

The Quanum "Outlaw" 180 quadcopter is a high-performance drone that is supplied with 5" props (5030) and carbon-fiber frame. But there's a "gotcha" in the design -- the blade rotation circumference actually actually extends into the frame area. In the back section of the top frame deck, deck material has been cut away to account for this. But the front part of the frame deck is not cut away for blade clearance, and in high lift-thrust situations (very easy and fun to do with this quad) the blades will actually strike the deck. Most fliers resort to smaller 4" props to avoid this problem, and this quad still flies like crazy anyway. But I wanted to make it fly with 5" props as Quanum intended, to be able to experience the maximum power this rig could produce. This design is the core of my solution. It's a full redesign of the top deck, with several added features. It addresses several of the cable-routing fixes required to address the large blade size, but can only provide 3 fixed camera-tilt positions (i.e., it doesn't have the continuous angle adjustment capability of the original carbon-fiber frame). I may fix this in a future update. This deck fully replaces the original carbon fiber top deck. It's a couple of grams heavier than the original, but you won't notice that with all the power of 5" props. I made a few modifications after flying it with different sizes of 3S 1000 to 1500 mAh batteries. This design is the "new and improved" model. For batteries that are just a nudge wider, I place the strap around the deck (not through the built in strap slot). One hole in the back is for connecting a video TX mount (I will post one such design soon). The other holes are for zip ties, if needed. The deck is 3D printed in light blue for the pictures. Refer to them for guidance on deck placement and power cable routing. The pics also show a camera clip and video TX mount that will be described in other posts.
