Modular 45 Degree Pivoting Arcade Control Mount

Modular 45 Degree Pivoting Arcade Control Mount

thingiverse

This is an arcade control mount that allows many types of arcade controls to be swapped out easily from the top of the panel without any tools. It also pivots 45 degrees for diagonal 4-way joystick games like Q*Bert and Congo-Bongo, and pivots back for Pac Man or Donkey Kong. It latches into each position so it won't move on you during play. To easily swap between controllers, add some cable connectors to your wiring, such as DB15 or 5-pin JST joystick connectors, or whatever works in your situation. It's a great way to get the most out of your space. Swap out a 4-way for an 8-way joystick, or a DIY spinner, or just about any other type of arcade control. Swap it with a GRS Tron joystick https://www.amazon.com/GRS-Tron-Arcade-Flight-Stick/dp/B07X8DZ344/ for a few games of Tron with a DIY spinner - https://www.thingiverse.com/arcadeworkshop/designs or Discs of Tron with a DIY Push-Pull Spinner - https://www.thingiverse.com/arcadeworkshop/designs Just print another plate for each control and wire up the connector of your choosing. There are mounting plates for Suzo/Happ American style joysticks, Sanwa Japanese style joysticks, the GRS Tron joystick, my DIY Spinner and Push-Pull Spinner, as well as a blank plate that, if printed with enough top and bottom layers to make the plate solid (3mm), can be drilled for whatever you'd like to mount. I’ve also included a spacer for Suzo 500 style joysticks, and a Tron style image to print for the Tron mount. I printed it on photo paper and mounted it using spray adhesive. I've included versions for 18mm, 1/2 inch, and 3/4 inch panels. The bracket mounts in a 5 inch diameter hole. 4 screws hold it in place underneath the panel. It should be mounted so that the bracket face sits just proud of the control panel top surface. Print the plates with 1.6mm walls, minimum 0.6mm top and bottom, and 20% infill. (Blank plates for drilling should be printed with 1.5mm top and bottom layers) Print the mount with 1.2mm walls, 1mm top and bottom, and 20% infill.
