A custom bridge that i am using to count laps for my 1:24 car i've used 5 sections horizontally and 2 vertically each section needs 10 screws to assemble. it broke twice when i dropped it between horizontal sections, but zip ties fixed it you can add many LEDs on the top if you want (i've used 4 infrared to count laps) i've also cut an acrylic strip 1.00m x 4cm (in my case) to and printed a finish line art to stick to it (use the holder to attach to the bridge)
