Modular Ikea Knagglig Inserts

Modular Ikea Knagglig Inserts

thingiverse

Parametric stackable modular inserts for organising an Ikea Knagglig box. The OpenSCAD file is the main part of this, but I've included some examples of STLs generated by it that I think are the most useful options. In addition to the inserts themselves, you can also generate lids and dividers. Various parameters are configurable, allowing you to choose how you want to divide the box along all three axes. You can also choose the wall thickness: in the example STLs I've used 1.2mm which I consider to be the minimum viable option, particularly for larger pieces - you might choose to increase it slightly to make the boxes more sturdy. Smaller pieces will stack on to equal or larger pieces, but probably won't stack properly if they're printed with different settings (wall thickness, adjustments to box measurements). To avoid accidentally mixing incompatible settings, each box has a legend printed on the underside which details the parameters used. This could be considered a bit of a first layer benchmark, so it can be disabled if you don't think your printer can handle it.
