Modular LED Flashlight
thingiverse
The flashlight features a detachable head, which can be easily swapped with alternative designs using standard PCBs from http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Round-Aluminum-PCB-Printed-Circuit-Board-50mm-for-3-x-1W-3W-5W-LEDs/32262251814.html. I designed the head for seamless removal without twisting or damaging any wires, allowing quick experimentation with different designs, materials, or color effects. For 5mm LEDs, you will need to print both a "5mm LED plate" and a separate head, as these are specifically engineered to accommodate the smaller size and higher voltage of 5mm LEDs. This configuration can hold up to 30 LEDs at once due to the following calculation: - The input voltage for this design is 12V. - With a standard white LED voltage drop of approximately 3.2v, placing them in series gives you around 10 sets of three LEDs (due to some mathematical manipulation).
