Modular MK3/s camera arm (also RPi HQ)

Modular MK3/s camera arm (also RPi HQ)

prusaprinters

A very modular camera arm for the Prusa mk3/s. You can mount it on the X-axis motor as a moving arm, or on the aluminum extrusion frame as a fixed arm.
The fixed mount also works on any other 40x40 aluminum extrusion.
It also comes in two different versions. One can rotate and the other one can tilt as well. Both of them are very solid.

The whole arm can be moved into basically any position and the range is only limited by the number of links you're using.
There's a housing for the RPi camera module v2 and also the RPi HQ camera.
With cable clips, you can organize the flat cable to the arm and the frame.

Everything is easy to print without any support structures. There's also a picture of the orientation of all the parts on the print bed.

For assembly of the parts you only need one type of screws. M3 x 18 mm and M3 lock nuts. Both should be spare parts of the printer. You need one more M6 screw and T-nut to mount the arm to the frame. The flat ribbon cable is 1 m long.

I spent about a week of evenings on this design to get it to work really well and printable without support structures. So if you like it and can make good use of it please consider supporting me and my work.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

200

Infill:

20%

Filament:

Extrudr PLA whatever you like

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
