Modular Model Paint Rack

Modular Model Paint Rack

thingiverse

This is a modular paint rack designed to hold standard sized bottles of miniature paints from Vallejo, Army Painter, Greenstuff World, etc. It also holds the wider Kimera paint bottles. It does not hold Games Workshop bottles, but if you really wanted to you could easily scale it within your favourite slicer programme to provide a shelf of the correct width. I've found these useful where I have more wall space than desk space available. I have uploaded what I have found to be the most useful widths; 100mm, 120mm and 160mm. There are also 'cap' versions that are needed to go at the top of the assembly to make the top row work correctly. There are optional left- and right-end versions to prevent paints on the extremities from falling off during handling. If you want to customise the lengths without editing the file, simply load one of the 'ctr' versions into your slicer and scale the z-axis accordingly. ASSEMBLY: It is vital that you attach them to a backing board (plywood, masonite, mdf, etc.) on the correct side, as shown in the pictures. I use common PVA (white) glue without any problems. I recommend setting some out on a board first and putting some paints in to make sure you have things the right way around before gluing.
