Modular RaspberryPi Rack System

Modular RaspberryPi Rack System

This is a modular rack system for multiple headless Raspberry Pis with the POEHat. There are three components: 1. The Sled houses the Pi. This design includes a sled for the 3B+. I mount the Pi into the sled with two M2.5x5 screws on opposite corners of the Pi. Do a bit of pre-threading of the posts for optimal results. I attach the standoffs to the other two corners of the POEHat before installing the Hat onto the Pi. **The Sled needs supports enabled** for the cut-out window, which is there so you can connect power/HDMI for troubleshooting, upgrades, etc. 1. The Drawer holds the Sled, and retains it with clips. The tabs on the bottom connect into the slots in the top, so you can stack them as tall as you dare. See the picture. **The Drawer need supports enabled and I *strongly* encourage a raft.** Depending on your slicer settings, you may find rotating the drawer in the build-space will create better support structures. I've had luck as-is, but rotated 90 degrees seems to get more consistant results. You also may have to do a little post-processing to get the tabs to fit perfectly in the slots, again depending on your slicer settings. They are designed to be a very tight fit. 1. The Tie Set allows you to connect Drawers side-by-side. No support needed. See the picture. I welcome comments, suggestions for improvements, etc. I'm just getting started in this wonderful world, so I'd love to hear ways to improve my designs and skills (such as they are).
