Modular Space Station

Modular Space Station

thingiverse

A 1/200 scale modular DIY space station inspired by Skylab that uses 5mm x 2mm magnets to connect the parts. These magnets can be found on ebay (100x for around $4 USD), that can then be glued into place with superglue. A couple of the parts are split up into two so you shouldn't need supports, but in that case will require a dab of superglue. Pay attention to the orientation of the magnets before you glue them! Also included is an Apollo CSM inspired spacecraft, and a Soyuz inspired spacecraft, split up so they shouldn't require any supports. These are not a perfect recreation of the historical spacecraft, instead they are a bit more printer friendly. The bits and pieces can be combined in a variety of different configurations like legos, so the possibilities are endless! Anyone who wants to make their own compatible addons are encouraged to! Only request is that the 5mm x 2mm magnet is used as the standard for docking points and attachments to make it easier for people to assemble.
