Modular Storage for Memoir 44

Fit all tiles, figures and cards from Memoir '44 and its expansions in two main boxes I have one of pretty much every Memoir '44 expansion, and came up with this way to store most of the components from these into the main game box as the Equipment Pack box (which is the same size) The solution uses a series of interchangeable trays, which should allow for the components needed for a session or series of games to be stored in only the main box, with the unused components left in the Equipment Pack box. Or bring both boxes and be ready for pretty much anything! There are some notable exceptions however. While this solution can fit one game board, the following needs to be stored separately: - All other game boards (e.g., Winter/Desert board and Breakthrough boards), though you could probably stack another one in if desparate - All the paper Battle Maps - Reference Cards (technically these might be able to fit but I keep them in a separate binder) - Rule books and Campaign Books What can be stored - all remaining figures, tiles and cards from - Base game - Eastern Front - Pacific Theater - Mediterranean Theater - Terrain Pack - Winter Wars - Operation Overlord - Air Pack - Equipment Pack - Battle Maps *How it works* This solution uses a DVG Deep Dish Counter Tray to store all the badges, counters, obstacle tiles, etc. This was a perfect fit for these components - the rest of the solution was designed around it. The main 3d printed components are: - One "side" tray for holding the dice (and keeping card holders in place) - Trays (9) to hold the terrain tiles (each tray holds the tiles from one expansion (or half of Terrain Pack)) - A couple of specialized trays to hold some of the low-profile figures from Equipment Pack and Battle Maps, as well as the tiles from the Operation Overlord expansion. There is a "misc" tray which is pretty much just there to keep everything in place - room for future expansion (ha ha)! - Some spacers to help hold the game board in place on top of the main box (print 3, the 4th doesn't have much to rest on) - A series of trays, in four different sizes, to hold the rest of the figures and spare components. In my solution, I use: - 5 of size A (the largest, good for tanks from one faction) - 6 of size B (second largest, good for armies from one faction) - 7 of size C (one third the size of A + B) - 4 of size D (the smallest, a square equal to half of A) The way the sizes of these trays work out, there are different combos that can fit into each box: For main box (with one additional column of tiles and cards), store four of: - A + B - C + C + C - D + D + B - A + a stack of cards (e.g., Breakthrough Deck) - D + D + a stack of cards For the Equipment Pack box (across the whole width of the box, two layers), e.g., four rows of: - A + B + C - D + D + B + C - C + C + C + C
