Monitor Riser Leg

Monitor Riser Leg

thingiverse

This is a leg attachment that can be used to create a monitor riser. After spending the best part of a year working from home I decided I could create some more desk space by elevating the monitors on my desk allowing me to put my keyboard and mouse away when not in use. Some form of plank/shelf is needed to complete this build (I reused an old shelf that I spray painted black hence the poor finish) This was printed at 0.4 resolution with 20% infill and is still strong enough to hold the weight of two large monitors (also tested with additional laptop weight and it held). If the weight or size of plank used dramatically increases the infill percentage could be changed to make it stronger. It can be friction fitted (shelf shown is about 15mm thick) but since it was a permanent fixture I decided to put some small nails into the holes provided.
