Monitor Stand (with IKEA EKBY LAIVA) under 5$

This is my maker/cheap version of a monitor stand, I had one 3€ IKEA EKBY LAIVA (http://www.ikea.com/es/es/catalog/products/30178704/) laying around. As my previous monitor stand was pretty sub-par, I decided to create my own solution without spending much. You could use this legs for many other applications and shelfs. My solution here are 3d printed legs separated in two parts that screw one into another for easy printing (no need for supports). To anchor de upper part to the ikea shelf you will need some (3/leg) self-tapping screws (wood bolts) in this case I am using 3,75mm diameter x 25mm long. Anything shorter should also work. In this particular case I am using five legs and the stand is rock solid, in case that there is some missalignment it can be corrected after installation using the screw of the legs to make the stand even. The space below the stand is 83mm, it could be a bit more unscrewing but it would create some wobbling. If you would like some changes or longer lower part just leave a comment, I could tweak the design to allow for more space below. Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25%-30% Notes: For the lower part (leg) I printed everything with 30% infill, with no heated bed and the results were fantastic. In the case of the upper part ("bolt") I had to use a 6mm brim to avoid deformation when priting with no heated bed. Post-Printing
