Monitor tube riser clamp

Monitor tube riser clamp

thingiverse

I have a pretty average and common monitor set-up, where I have a supporting tube that mounts to the desk (about 1.5" diameter) and I wanted a way to mount my speaker behind the monitors and off the desk, so I drilled a big hole in a peice of wood to make a 'shelf' that would be supported by then tension of its own weight. well that didn't work, the hole was too big and the wood too smooth. On to plan B! this clamp uses the Print In Place hinge that I completely ripped off from the lined design to make a clamp that holds that tube very snuggly, preventing my shelf from sliding. I don't know what use you may have for this clamp, but I hope it helps! (Maybe I'll update to include a hook so I can manage cables, hang headphones, etc...) As I'm very new at this, I would welcome any feedback.
