This is a life-size sculpture of a monkey, cast in Bronze by contemporary Belgian sculptor Jean Roig. Roig's subjects vary but animals are a occuring theme in the work. The animals are often placed upon pedestals and have motifs which suggest that it is in struggle; note this sculpture's chains which bind it to the plinth. The statue adorns the fountain of Pieter Breughel square. This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free.
