# Project Details & Headband Notes A replacement yoke for the Monoprice M1570 that allows the cups to be adapted for use with a headband currently available on AliExpress & Ebay. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003339698841.html This headband head a spring steel suspension construction that provide far better clamping pressure than the original Monoprice headband. Personally, this results in a very substantial increase in general wear-ability and comfort, as well as a noticeable increase in bass response from improved sealing and reduced distance between driver & ear. Despite these improvements I can only give a very hesitant endorsement of this seller since he is misleading about the compatibility of what he is selling and the headband itself is lower quality than I'd have liked for the cost. If anyone is aware of a more reasonably priced outlet for this headband please comment and I will update this description. Additionally the headband is a bit on the smaller size. If you have a particularly large head it may not be comfortable or durable at maximum extension. Modifications to the yoke design may help to accommodate larger heads however. # Printing Instructions I attempted to make this design a largely faithful reproduction of the yoke that comes with the headband, and in doing so made it rather difficult to 3D print. My advice is to go slower (extremely slow on the first few layers) and use supports and potentially a brim. Make sure to print lying down so that the layers are aligned for strength along the axis of the yoke. My current iteration was printed in Polymaker PLA Pro on an Ender 3 S1. I was considering producing a final version in annealed CF-PETG. So far though I'm impressed with the durability of these prototypes and may use them indefinitely. If you're having difficulty printing and don't care about being faithful to the original yoke I'd suggest downloading the f3d file and modifying as needed to have more flat sections. # Assembly Instructions Removing the cups from the headband requires partial disassembly of them to access the pin that retains the pegs that hold the yoke to the cups. To disassemble you'll remove the pads, take out 4 screws to remove the cover, and remove 4 more screws to free the driver assembly from the cup housing. ___Take care when moving the driver assembly!___ The two wires connecting to the housing are easy to break at the solder points. I suggest having something to rest it on while disassembled to keep the wires from being strained. Also take care when reassembling to not pinch these wires. Once the driver is out of the way both pegs and their retaining pins will be visible. The pin looks like a screw, but the hole it's in is unthreaded and it just needs to be pulled out. During reassembly the rubber washer will be removed from the pegs to allow for the increased thickness of the yoke.
