Monoprice Maker Select Plus - Dial Indicator Mount

thingiverse

This is a dial indicator mount I made for my Monoprice Maker Select Plus (v2, I think). I wasn't too keen on having the indicator slide around on the rails, so this uses **2x #6-32 screws** (3.5mm OD) to mount to the extruder stepper motor. (I used hex-head PC card screws that I have a billion of.) This mount requires a dial indicator with a lug in the back, as it uses a locking pin to secure it solidly to the mount. That probably sounds a bit wiggly, but I've found that even with my crappy parameters, it formed a solid mechanical union with the mount. This will mar the paint on your stepper, but I don't mind. Add a pad if this worries you.
