For: Monoprice maker select V2, Wanhao duplicator i3 and other clones with the same spool holder. I designed this to be a simple, yet effective solution to a spool holder that is too small to accommodate larger spools of filament. The rounded geometry allows the spool to roll with low friction. One of the best things about this spool holder is the easy installation. You simply slide it over the original spool holder and it locks in place. No hardware required! The spool holder extension will hold spools with a width of up to 83mm. I might make a modified longer version in the future, but as for now, this one handles every spool I've come across so far. I hope you enjoy this mod as much as I do. TIP: I found that adding a bit of high viscosity lube to the surface of any spool holder that is not on rollers or bearings is a great way to further reduce friction. I use Super Lube's Multi-Purpose Synthetic oil.
