This attachment allows the spool to spin freely on the Monoprice Maker Select Mini (Malyan M200). Reducing stress on the spool side should give you one less thing to worry about when printing. This attachment fits all but one of my spools, and is easily removable when a small spool needs to be used. Additional Supplies: Two skateboard bearings $4.99USD for 8 on Amazon (likely cheaper to just get 2 from a skate shop) Approx 10cm section of 8mm dowel (9/32") Update: folks report a 5/16" dowel to work well. If a little loose, a strip of tape around the circumference tightens things up. Thanks Jared Allen and Zachary Walton! *Update 2: another user reports that a BIC pen is a perfect fit Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Maker Select Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 10% Notes: The more detail, the better. This should fit nice and snug when printed (assuming there isn't wild variation in parts from printer to printer) 1.2mm wall thickness Rotate models to lay flat Post-Printing Pop the bearings into position and mount them on the rail. Feed the dowel through the center hole and see how everything fits together. A touch of adhesive will help hold the bearings in place. How I Designed This Lots of testing!
