This mod helps prevent the stepper drivers from shutting down do to overheating. If you hear a ticking sound coming from the extruder, it could be due to the driver overheating. When the driver overheats, it faults and shuts off power. The pressure from the filament pins the stepper backwards and then it recovers causing a clicking sound. Print this bracket, install a 40 mm fan on the driver heat-sink and solder it to the main power header.
