Digit buttons for the Monroe LA and LA5 series of electromechanical calculators. Instructions Simply use digit_button.scad in your OpenSCAD project, and call digit_button_LA(num) or digit_button_LA5(num) where num is an integer from 0 through 9. Or use num = -1 for a blank button. The scale is 1000 units = 1 inch. LA series buttons are slightly smaller than LA5 series buttons and have a cross-shaped bottom slot instead of a single slot. The numbers engraved on each series measure out to be the same size. The profile of the button is parametric, and the parameters were measured from the actual button. The parameters are shown in the file digit_button_profile.png. The digits themselves were traced from images of the buttons. The resulting SVG files were then passed through a Python program, path.py, which converted the path to OpenSCAD polygons. The digit_button_profile.png file, the image and SVG files, and the path.py program are included in the digit_button_src.zip file. You don't need that zip file if all you want to do is make a button.
