I did not create the original mask, but I did create a version for use with up to 1/2 inch straps instead of string. It was originally created by Dusty Richardson, Spencer E. Zaugg, and Colton Zaug. The Montana Mask at the time of this writing is not FDA or NIOSH approved and has provisional patents in place.
