Montessori Coin Box

Noticed a lack of Montessori early childhood toys here so I decided to design my own. I considered laser cutting this but my 3d printer is located in a baby proof office so this worked better for me. Printed in food safe pla plastic. Please supervise children with this toy and routinely check for damage. Babies should not be left unattended with this item as with all 3d prints due to possible pieces breaking off. It is intentionally made with larger parts and coins but 3d printing can fail at stress points-particularly with avid chewers. Not designed as a teether. Printing: Coins- Print at about 90% infill to add weight. Weighted coins are easier to control. No support. Coin box base- 15% infill. Print oriented on side to minimize overhang. Generate supports for coin slot. Coin box drawer-Print with knob on side. Generate support under knob. 15% infill. Post process underside of knob and coin slot to make smooth. Slide drawer in to base. Enjoy. Print as many or as few coins as you like.
