While reading up on architecture for inspiration for the #HalotBuilding contest, I noticed a lot of beautiful structures around the world but a lot of search results did not produce African/African American designed architecture. So after tuning my search I came across the Monuments des Martyrs; also known as the Monument of National Heroes. This structure's home is in Burkino Faso's capital city of Ouagadougou [waa·guh·doo·goo] to honor lives that were loss during a revolution in the late 80's and the expansion/growth of the country.
