Moonbase Landing Pad

Moonbase Landing Pad

This is a landing pad I made which is designed to fit the ERTL Model kit's EAGLE Transporters. ERTL reissued a model kit of a moonbase from a very popular 1974 TV show. The kit came with 6 Eagle models which were about 1" in length. It also came with landing pads, but they were too large for the layout of the moonbase, and the Eagles were way too big for the pads. But it was more of a toy kit, so that's fine. This, however, is a fairly accurately modeled display diorama for those tiny Eagle Transporter models. I put mine on a styrofoam lunar surface, in a shadow box for display, with a paper-printed insignia. You can do whatever you like with it. Print the pieces in the colors I mention, or prime and paint them. The travel tube is meant to be fairly short. If you need it to be longer for your diorama, just print multiples and glue them together. Instructions Print the base, house, extension and travel tube in white, or gray. Print the outer portion of the landing cross in black, and the inner portion in red. The house and extension should be glued in place, and the travel tube as well. There are no connectors for those. The base pieces should snap together nicely.
