More Space Filling Polyhedra Blocks

thingiverse

Here is an unusual space filling polyhedron described by Guy Inchbald in a 1996 Mathematical Gazette paper. Updates and more information are available at - http://www.steelpillow.com/polyhedra/five_sf/five.htm The polyhedron has 11 vertices and 11 faces and is described as a bisymmetric hendecahedra. Six blocks were created from this polyhedron. One is the basic polyhedron. As the polyhedron has four different faces it was possible to make 4 different pairs of polyhedra each of which shares a different face. Finally a set of 4 polyhedra makes a unit, described at the web site, multiple copies of which pack to fill space. OpenSCAD code is included.
