<p>This is currently a placeholder. I'll be finalising the project over the course of the next week, and uploading details. The reason for creating a new listing is that the changes to this model, are largely not compatible with the previous version. The geometry remains almost identical, but has been made more compact, and the overall material use has been drastically simplified, with a view to reducing the cost of the bill of materials as much as possible.</p> <p>To illustrate this, the cost of upgrading an existing printer such as an i3, using spare parts from E-waste, to this coreXY geometry could be as low as $165usd. Increasing the bed size to 200x300 would only be another $35. And to 300x300 would be only another $38.</p> <p>Full builds would start at $269, leaving aside $29.71 in hardware.</p> <p>I'll upload a preliminary BOM to demonstrate this.</p> Category: 3D Printers
