This Mortise Cylinder Holder design leaned heavily on: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3271556 I completely redesigned this piece in Fusion 360 and while it should be considered a remix I'm not 100% sure it is. I've also included the Fusion 360 file for anyone else that wants to take this and run with it. To make it custom sized for your specific mortise cylinder needs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is a holder for the standard 29mm Mortise Cylinders. It's mainly used to practice lock picking on mortise cylinders. It should be comfortable to hold as well as being able to be put into a vise if you're brave enough to print in PLA. I put a small hole on the bottom to help get the mortise cylinder out of the holder. I have also cut sides in to help the cylinder cam be able to turn past what could be a deep false set. I tried to make the side openings small enough for a 1" cylinder up to around a 1-1/2" cylinder. I personally have only tested up to 1-3/8" cylinder and it still had some room. I also added a place to hold keys or picks if you want to store it away for a night or two. While I have learned from the original thing, that this should be printed in TPU, this one can be printed in PLA. However, a word of caution, it will be a little tight! Printing Instructions: While supports would probably be good I was able to print this without them on my printer. I leave that up to you and your printer settings. TPU Printing [Recommended]: 0.2mm - 15% Infill PLA Printing [NOT RECOMMENDED]: PLA at 0.3mm - Will be very tight and is only recommended for older cylinders. PLA at 0.2mm - Will be a bit better and should work for most cylinders but will mostly still be tight. I had issues with a Adams Rite style 1" Mul-T-Lock mortise cylinder not fitting in the PLA print. To remove cylinders from PLA if you forced it into the holder you will need something like a small metal flashlight or a wooden dowel to be inserted into the bottom hole. If you didn't force it in you should be able to use your finger to push the mortise cylinder right out. So while I'm not a CAD expert feel free to use the Fusion 360 file if it can help you with your project.
