Mosaic Filament Drive Mounted Guide
thingiverse
After utilizing my Mosaic 1 printer for approximately six months, I encountered an issue with the filament drive wearing out. The root cause was misalignment of the PTFE filament guide, which led to a groove forming in the filament drive due to long printing sessions. This resulted in inconsistent printing as the filament grip degraded over time. To rectify this problem, I attempted using a frame-mounted filament guide (available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:23748), but it was insufficient to maintain the PTFE guide tube in a straight position above the filament drive. To resolve this issue, I printed a new guide and followed these steps: removed the filament drive tensioning bolt, inserted the guide, and re-applied the bolt. Then, I threaded the PTFE guide tube through the guide. This solution effectively addressed my problem.
