Mosquito Magnum Hotend - High Temp Silicone Heatbreak Insulator Mold

The ceramic heatbreak insulator on my Mosquito Magnum hotend got a chip in it, which led to it continuing to chip and break. A replacement was going to cost me $30, which I couldn't justify spending on such a small thing. Instead, i've opted to create a mold for use with high temp silicone gasket maker (Permatex Red RTV). I have literally no experience at all in making silicone molds, but gave it a shot and had great results. Check youtube for tutorials on creating silicone socks for the Mosquito hotend and you'll use that exact same method to created this - however, I gave the mold 48 hours (double the recommended time) to set, which made it easier to release and keep from destroying it in that process. By the time 48 hours has elapsed, the sock can stretch out and fit over the heatbreak without any trouble, in my experience. I have yet to test it, but will update with my findings once I do. UPDATE: Been using this with great success for several weeks now! Definitely a more affordable way of insulating your Mosquito Magnum if needed!
