This is a mold with wich you can cast a silicone sock for the mosquito hotend by your self.

For casting i usually use 2k high temp casting silicone which works really nice and also doesn't stick to the mold. Personally I use the Trollfactory type 3 HB silicone for most socks. But there are other silicone that also work well.

The mold is designed to be assembled with a single m3 screw through the middle. Take the lower mold and put the screw through it. Next step you add the mold core onto the screw. Last step is to add the upper mold part. Add a nut onto the screw and tension the whole assembly. The border part is optional. I use it to catch the silicone that is spilled or left over.

If you are worried about the silicone sticking to the mold you can try using vassiline or something similar to apply it onto the mold.

Printed the molds in PLA aswell as ABS. PLA was less sticky but the only way to get nice silicone surface is using really thin layer height and nice print outlines. Sanding the surface does also help a bit. ABS on the other hand has the advantage that it can be smoothed with aceton. That makes really nice surfaces but also is a bit more work to do. The mold on the pictures is from PLA and already got a bit destroyed (PLA doesn't like aceton). But it worked as you can see from the results.

My best solution on applying the silicone is to use a syringe and carefully fill it with silicone (make sure to not get too many air bubbles). Then the silicone can be casted through the two bigger holes. the air will be pushed out through the small holes. Push the silicone slowly into the mold to give it time for setting down. I usually add more silicone that gets pushed out through the small holes and helps with getting rid of the air. Shaking the mold will also help. The overflow silicone can be catched by the border part.
