Stock Spacer for Mossberg 930/935 with Synthetic Stocks The Mossberg 930/935 Stock Spacer is useful for: - Increasing drop and length of pull for proper sight alignment when the spacers that come with the 930/935 aren't enough. - Shooters with longer arms or necks that might experience the above issues - Can prevent ear protection from hitting stock and compromising seal around ears Mossberg parts involved: - Mossberg 930/935 Synthetic Stock (Mossberg SKU 16759, part #71) - Checkered Recoil Pad (Mossberg SKU 16776, part #46) - Recoil Pad Screw - For Synthetic Stocks (Mossberg SKU 16769, part #59) - factory part is 1.2" long, .32" head diameter, with thread diameter of .2". This can be re-used with the .25in spacer. - For the .5" spacer, the following screws from Home Depot should be used: Hillman #10 x 2in Pan Head Stainless Steel (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-10-x-2-in-Stainless-Steel-Phillips-Pan-Head-Sheet-Metal-Screw-20-Pack-802932/204275054) - For the 1" spacer, a #10 x 2.5in Pan Head Stainless Steel should be used - a #10 x 3in would probably work well too. Installation: Uncrew the two recoil pad screws using a philips screwdriver. The screws are captured inside of the recoil pad. When fully unscrewed, the recoil pad can be removed from the stock. Place the stock spacer on the stock where the recoil pad was. There is only one way that it fits, so it can't be installed upside down or flipped over. With the stock spacer sitting on the stock, put the recoil pad on the spacer, making sure the raised screw holes on the pad fit into the holes on the spacer. If the pad does not mate correctly, check that the rubber coating is not getting gathered up around the base of the pad. If it is, the rubber coating can be trimmed off. When fitting the pad, spacer, and stock together, also make sure that rubber is not gathering up around the lip of the spacer, which will also prevent a tight fit. If this happens, you will need to sand out the inside of the lip on the spacer so that there are no errant filament strands or blobs preventing the correct fit. Note that the stock screws can be used for the .25" spacer, but for the .5" or the 1", the screws will be too short. Replacement screws should extend past the bottom of the spacer by no less than .5", and at most 1". With the screws tightened, there should be no gaps or wiggle between the pad, spacer, or stock. There are 3 versions available for this that provide increasing drop and LoP by making them taller. Each is a different height from the top of the overhang (that contacts the stock) to the bottom of the inside of the lip on the top. stock extension spline v4 - .25 inch.stl stock extension spline v4 - 0.5 inch.stl stock extension spline v4 - 1 inch.stl Most people will find that the .25" version is adequate. People with exceptionally long arms and necks will use the .5" version. Only the tallest, gangliest, long necked and gorilla-armed people will use the 1" version. These should be printed using strong filament - PETG at a minimum - using at least 60% infill and support so that the bottom lip prints correctly. I tend to print these with a full raft although that's up to you and your printer. When I do the support pops right off with it.
