First and foremost thank you JohanRC ,Lucifer Angel, PavelNS and PropsFactory or posting the original design. I am trying to 3d Print the whole design, minus a few needed supports. To cheep to buy the extrusions and bearings, so here goes my CAB (Cheep Ass Bastard) version. ;-) I am using Lucifer Angel's 4040 extrusion and scaling it to 203 mm for the extrusions. I only have a max of 300 mm on my small delta and the 203 mm is what I calculated for the majority of the lengths needed. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2916495 Edit: I have added the 4x205mm plate. Cura is saying it will take ~419g and 2d 04h 44min to print at 35 mm/s. Fun times! And yes I have the system on an APC 1000 for if the power goes out ;-P I am using PavelNS's T slot nut for th 40x40. I have added a plate of 28 pieces. .2mm height with 100% infill. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2822395 I am using the Motedis 90 deg. bracket and converted it from stp to stl with freecad. .2mm height with 50% infill, might go to 100% but trying it at 50% for now. ;-) For the bearings, I am going to keep going in the fashion CAB. (Cheep Ass Bastard) and I am going to try the 3d printed LM12UU linear bearing from PropsFactory. I have tested it on a smaller rod (8mm), and I will let you know how it goes. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:24990 For the rod I am using HILMAN Plat STl - Round 5/16" x 3ft. from Lowes. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Hillman-3-ft-x-0-3125-in-Plated-Steel-Metal-Round/3057625 | Rev | Date | Description | |-----|--------|----------------------------------| | - | 9/7/18 | Original Post | | A | 9/9/18 | Added T-Nuts and 90 Deg. Bracket | | B | 9/18/18 | Added 4x205_4040_T_Slot_extrusion | | C | 12/13/18 | Added link to bearing |
