Motor Booster for Hot Wheels

Motor Booster for Hot Wheels

This is a motor booster for hot wheels cars and connects to the Track Builder System. No long time testing done yet. It´s working but not perfect and you will need some elektronics and soldering skills to build. Some of the bigger cars (american truck style or suvs) might get stuck and the foam wears off fast (fusses). I will need another solution for that... You have been warned! :-) If you are still reading and want to give it a try you will need: Screws (aliexpress) 2x m2x4mm Headless Hexagon Socket Grub DIN916 (motor side fix) 8x m3x8mm Hex Socket Cap DIN912 (top) 4x m3x16mm Hex Socket Cap DIN912 (motor mount) 8x m3x30mm Hex Socket Cap DIN912 (bottom) Brass Hot Melt Insert Knurled Nut (aliexpress) 20x m3x4.5mm OD 4.5mm! (case assembling, all used only on Right and Left Case) - 4mm+ length will work too but OD 4.5mm is important for melting them in. 2x m2x4mm (OD 3.5mm!) (motor side fix) - melt those in with motor mounted. Bearings (aliexpress) 2x Mr128zz 8x12x3.5mm (bottom axis) - can also be melted in Brass Hot Melt Insert Knurled Nut (aliexpress) 2x m2x4mm Hex Socket Set Screw Cup (motor side fix) Electronics (aliexpress) 1x HW-070 PWM DC Motor Speed Controller 5-16V 2x Motor from TT Magnetic Gearbox Engine (the yellow one, motor has a 8 tooth gear) 2x pairs 18650 battery pack 16MM*18.5MM spring contact piece And some cables to wire the parts. Battery 2x Protected 18650 Cells - The electronics used have no reverse polarity protection or discharge protection. Car gripper (some rc shop) 2x Traxxas TRX2224 Print 1x Mid-Plate 1x Left-Case (left/right are the same) 1x Right-Case (left/right are the same) 2x Motor-Mount 2x Spacer 2x Rotator_for_Traxxas 1x Lower-Case 4x Bat-Case-Filler 1x Lower-Case-Lid 1x Top-Control 1x Top-Direction Electronics are quite easy. 18650 in series to the HW-070 input and both motors in parallel on the HW-070 output. The TRX2224 foam has to be glued. If you miss something in the description or found something strange just write me. Optional: Bridge connector for round course Two parts that need to be glued together. v2 Parts have minor fixes and changes for easier mounting. I switched to a Silicone Rotator Version that works much better but is a bit heavier for the small motor: Print 2x Rotator_for_Silicone instead of 2x Rotator_for_Traxxas 1x Silicone_Mold_Bottom 1x Silicone_Mold_Top You also need 4x m3x4.5mm OD 4.5mm Brass Hot Melt Insert Knurled Nut, Painter Tape and Liquid Silicone Shore 35. ~34g per silicone rotator And some muscles to get the filled mold apart (Hint: remove the tape AND screws first). :-) You need make two silicone parts. So wait and reuse the mold for the second one or print one more mold to make both parts at once.
