Motorcycle Air Foil Bracket for Moto Guzzi V85TT and others

A lot of people are putting "air foils", or "spoilers" on the top of their motorcycle screen to improve air flow. And most of them these days are the cheap Chinese $20 versions, with weak arms. I've had good luck with the screens but not so much with the arms, when the pace gets quicker or the road rougher. This part is my way to address that. This part is not adjustable like the "spider arms" that come with the spoiler screens. This one is based on what I found to be the best location for me, on my bike, at my typical speeds. How well it works for you, who knows :) This is for the generic Chinese spoiler commonly defined as "Large Size: Width 360mm, Height 160mm, Bracket Width 275mm". I've based this on my V85TT but it should work on most bike screens, as long as the stock screen curves around (looking from above) like most screens do. It may also work for the smaller spoilers, as I think the mounting points on the spoiler are the same. You will need: The screen attachments (U clamps sort of) that come with the spoiler (pictured as installed above) (4) M5 nylocs (4) M5 washers (2) M5 x 20mm button head screws (2) M5 x 35mm button head screws. (EDIT changed from 30 to 35mm) (4) pieces of insertion rubber or silicone tape or similar to place been the printed parts and the spoiler to ease the clamping forces. Print left and right upside down - convince your slicer to make that top edge on the printer bed. You'll want supports, but not many are needed. Print: (1) Left (1) Right (2) Covers (2) Plugs The 20mm screw and nyloc fastens quite normally in the bottom hole. The 35mm screw screws into a hidden nyloc. This nyloc is placed into a cavity under the arm after you print. You then cover the top of that cavity with the plug, purely aesthetic. Remember to use rubber or similar on both sides of the spoiler under the clamp.
